Bato Dashitsirenov was born in Buryatia in 1961.
In 1995 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts after I. Repin, department of theatre painting, studio of E. Kocherguin. In the period of 1995-1999 he worked as the chief artist at the Buryat State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Ulan-Ude). Major theatre works: “La dame aux Camélias” (1996), “The Shaman’s dreams” (1998, the Russian Drama Theatre, Ulan-Ude), “Where are you, Son of Blue Sky” (1998, the Buryat Drama Theatre).
In the period of 2000 – 2004 Bato was the chief artist of artistic workshop at the Mariinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg).
In October, 2005 there was Bato’s personal exhibition (St. Petersburg, The Union of Artists). In 2005 and 2006 he participated in “Art Manege” (Moscow), and “Art Miami”. Bato’s artworks are kept in private collections in Russia and abroad.
